Standard CRT Gaskets

CRT gaskets are designed specifically for use on glasslined equipment. The design criteria requires the gasket to withstand 300 psi at temperatures from -300 F to 400 F. Larger gaskets are designed for use at 150 psi.

The Teflon envelope provides a barrier against chemicals and solvents. Gaskets are randomly spark tested at 5000 volts to ensure they are pinhole free. The filler is a non-asbestos material designed to provide a cushion beween glass surfaces. The center of the gasket is a reinforcing ring of corrugated steel.

Standard gasket thickness is 5/16″ on sizes through 16″.  Sizes 18” over are 7/16″. Manway and access openings gaskets are formed to the filler dimensions to minimize voids.

When ordering gaskets, choose the nominal I.D. size of Nozzel/Manway opening. Shim material is included with all gaskets greater than 30 inches.
